Welcome to my Website

Like most of you out there, I love computers but hate the high cost for the software needed to do anything with them.

So, over time, I've accumulated a good deal of information on good free software, problem solvers, and repair tools.

 You will also find:

- recommendations for legal, free software

- recommendations on safe places to get the software

- info on safe places to buy other things you might need

-links to interesting sites that I've accumulated over time.

- other stuff that interests me, and might interest you.

Use the buttons in the left column to start looking around.

A word on Windows 7

Most you know my feelings about Windows in general. So, when I make the next statement you know how hard it is hard to for me to say. Windows 7 is pertty good.

I've been a die hard, hold out for XP (if you really have to do windows at all), but since I needed to learn it so I could fix newer computers. So I installed it without much trouble and tried it out. To my genuine shock, it runs well, even faster than XP at times, doesn't crash, and is much more compatible with older software than I expected. So, if you have to face the choice, I recommend going Win7 instead of XP, and certainly better than Vista. Just be sure you have the horse power to run it. But with a good dual core and 4 GB of memory and a good video card, you'll like it.
